This uptick followed the announcement by President Donald Trump, who included Bitcoin and four other cryptocurrencies – Ethereum (ETH), Ripple (XRP), Solana (SOL), and Cardano (ADA) – in the U.S. strategic crypto reserve.
Impact on Futures Market
This announcement resulted in a gap-up opening for March futures listed on the CME. According to data obtained from the charting platform TradingView and CME, the contract saw an early rise, opening at $95,000 today, which is an increase of $9,280 compared to the previous Friday's high of $85,720.
