Blackbird Brings Restaurant Payments On-Chain with Flynet Mainnet

Blackbird, the innovative platform that enhances restaurant loyalty, has launched Flynet Mainnet, creating new opportunities for restaurant payments to go on-chain. This development was announced on Thursday.

Ben Leventhal, who previously co-founded companies such as Resy and Eater, is behind this new venture. Flynet is built as a layer-3 blockchain solution that operates atop the Base chain from Coinbase.

The Base chain itself is a layer-2 network that enhances transaction speed and reduces costs by integrating with Ethereum.
