SEC Reassesses Crypto Lawsuits But Doesn’t Call It Quits
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is backing away from a significant portion of the crypto-related litigation that commenced during the tenure of former Chair Gary Gensler. However, not all companies find themselves being let off the hook.
Active Cases and Ongoing Investigations
Legal proceedings remain active against at least four cryptocurrency entities: Ripple, Kraken, Cumberland DRW, and Pulsechain. Additionally, investigations are still in progress concerning three firms: Unicoin, Crypto.com, and Immutable. Following this article's release, Kraken has divulged that the SEC intends to abandon its legal action against the exchange, awaiting approval from the commissioners.
